High Speed Ovens partner with Urban Food Fest at Selfridges
We are pleased to announce we are working with Urban Food Fest with their in house pop-up in the Food Hall at Selfridges on Oxford Street.

Urban Food Fest has grown rapidly over the last few years with Time Out ranking it one of the top evens to attend in London. Transforming car parks at weekends in London & Manchester into street food markets, Urban Food Fest serves up a delicious array of global gourmet dishes alongside specialist cocktail and craft beer bars.
For the Food Hall at Selfridges, Urban Food Fest have taken a Merrychef E2S. The Merrychef will primarily be used for cooking pizzas and artisanal sandwiches (the blue cheese & fig pizza a particular favourite with the High Speed Ovens Team).
As one of the busiest food halls around, speed is a crucial factor. The MerryChef E2S can cook the individual pizzas in just 90 second, keeping customers wait time to an absolute minimum.
With counter space very, very tight the 350mm wide oven sits at the back of the pop-up. Urban Food Fest are using the ’trend’ black model (red or silver versions are also available) to discreetly blend in and not distract from the food display.
Mike Egerton, one of the founders of Urban Food Fest told us “ The Merrychef E2S is fantastic. It is our only oven on the pop-up so is having to work in a lot of different ways. Toasting the waffles is only taking 30 seconds and they’ve been flying out!”
