Compare the training packages offered by Merrychef, Pratica, Unox and Panasonic high speed ovens, including on-site training and online support resources.
Knowing how to properly use your high speed oven will help you get the most from your investment. Whether it’s creating cooking programmes, training staff or understanding the cleaning routines, good training can make a huge difference to day-to-day operation.
One of the questions we’re often asked is whether on-site training is included with the purchase of a new oven. The answer varies depending on the manufacturer.
Merrychef recently announced that it will no longer offer free on-site training with new oven purchases. Instead, the company has developed a comprehensive library of online training videos and support resources designed to help operators get up and running quickly.
You can view examples of these training resources here.
Pratica has announced that it is offering free training with any oven purchased until the end of August 2026. The promotion coincides with the launch of the new Pratica Fit Lite, which we’ll be taking a closer look at in a future post.
Unox does not include on-site training with the Compact Speed Eco. By simplifying the package and reducing additional services, Unox has been able to keep the overall purchase cost of the oven highly competitive.
Panasonic remains one of the few manufacturers to include on-site training as part of the purchase package. The training team assists with installation, oven setup and helping operators understand the controls and cooking programmes available.
Not necessarily. Many operators are comfortable learning through online videos and user guides, particularly if they have experience with commercial ovens. However, for sites installing a high speed oven for the first time, having an experienced trainer on-site can help staff gain confidence more quickly and ensure the oven is being used to its full potential from day one.
At High Speed Ovens, our support doesn’t stop once the oven has been delivered.
We have the ovens in our own office, which means we can give practical advice based on hands-on experience rather than simply reading from a manual. If a customer needs help with programming, settings or a day-to-day issue, we can often recreate the process ourselves and send over a quick WhatsApp video showing exactly what to do.
For customers within 100 miles of our office, we also offer free-of-charge training where possible. This can be especially useful for sites that are new to high speed ovens or for teams who want extra confidence when setting up menus and cooking programmes.
So, while manufacturer training varies from brand to brand, buying through HSO means you still have access to real, practical support from people who work with these ovens every day.
